The sun came out for about an hour yesterday. It was glorious! I immediately grabbed my laptop, Micro Econ book and a cold bevvie and headed to the pool on the grounds of our hotel. I knew my time was short, otherwise I would have done a little more prep and gone out to the beach.
I’d never been in the backyard for an extended period of time before… Otherwise, I probably would have noticed the two pet peacocks.
There is also a bunny that roams around. He was out eating as much grass as he could today. He’s been out before, but is a rare sight.
And the family that lives here has the sweetest, old dog named Tony. He’s going blind in one eye, and is easy to sneak up on and scare. I watch the kids do it all day long! He also sleeps with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.
Anyway, it’s an all out zoo here. Back to the peacocks and bunnies…
This is the presumably female peacock, who is just loose and free to roam the yard. Her prettier male counterpart is in a cage, and gets fussy when she strays too far. This gal nests behind a log, and every once in a while would pop her head up to see what was doing on. I dig her googly head feathers.
So great. The sun and animal farm were exactly what I needed yesterday.
Update: A turtle was wandering around the front yard today. Where are they hiding the monkeys?!

Lady, I have to say, your photo skills are rockin these days!! Keep up the good work:).
P.S: Seattle misses you!
I agree with Stephanie! I love the rabbit and turtle pics!
Thanks Steph! Having my laptop/Photoshop back really helps.
I’m missing Seattle right now too! Especially with July 4th coming up!!
No party for us this year, which will be very odd.
