Casey shipped a package to us with a load of books that I didn’t want to lug down on the plane… I couldn’t resist also including some Hot Tamales. There were also surprise packages of Smarties and Nerds. (Anyone getting the hint that I’m a candy fiend?)
Now the trick is to eat the Hot Tamales slowly enough for them to last until Casey comes down in person, with more. Which is only a couple of weeks away, but I could seriously down a box of Hot Tamales in an evening.
p.s. I could have used my Peru, Bolivia & Ecuador Footprint book for Carnaval! Might have avoided the Visa border crossing illegalities.
p.p.s. Peru’s postal system seems pretty efficient. Casey mailed this box on February 14th, and it arrived yesterday. That said, it took us about an hour, two copies of our passports, and a handful of paperwork, to retrieve it from the post office.
I can take a hint – what’s your mailing address? (Or does Casey want to lug a care pkg from the U.S. for me?)
