We’re booked to hike the Inca Trail on March 5th… Although I should probably be doing some cardiovascular work to prepare, I’ve been re-reading these books instead.
This book explains the Classic trail and other options. A great play-by-play, letting us know what we’re getting in to. Even though it has great maps and elevation information, I won’t be taking it with me because it lacks detail.

A super informative, straightforward book on Machu Picchu. Great explanations of the site’s architecture and cultural significance, with photos to clarify. It’ll be worth the extra weight in my pack…
