Suspending cell phone contract while in Peru.

I called Verizon Wireless today to ask them what I should do with my cell phone contract while we’re in Peru. I think, technically, I’ll be done with my contract by January. But, I’d like to keep my awesome phone number while we’re away. (Plus, when I come back, I’ll most likely go back to Verizon because I love them. Who loves their cell phone company?)

So… the deal is that they will suspend your account for 90 days for a $15 fee. After the 90 days, I’ll need to do it again. I’ll make up the time on my contract (if there is any) once I’m back. Sweetness.
