Slow down life. September flew by. October is halfway over. Sheesh.
My application for the UW is officially submitted. Phew! YAY! Feels so good, but it’s not over yet! My next step will be an interview with an admissions rep or alumnus… This should happen sometime in the next couple of months.
I’m also continuing to look at a few other back-up programs, one of which is in Sweden. (Yes, we were that inspired by our trip to Scandinavia.)
I spent most of last night scouring the blog of a former UW MBA student. His writing is a pretty sincere and open perspective on what life will be like in the program. I’m enjoying it more than “Ahead of the Curve”, which is a book written by a Harvard MBA graduate. (There’s some “controversy” around that book. Some people allege that the author only attended Harvard to write a book about it. To that I say, “Smart man! Here, here!”)
Today and tomorrow I will be attending a preview weekend at the UW. It’s an opportunity to sit in on a class, meet current students and alums, and see the MBA program in action! I’m so excited to attend that I woke up at 6am and couldn’t go back to sleep this morning. Aye. (Of course, I went to bed at 8pm last night… I think I’m fighting off a cold.)
