Scott and I are approaching our one-year anniversary, which is crazy. This year definitely flew by…
We figured it was time to have our rings engraved. The hash marks represent each country we have visited together. We have ten so far… I hope we eventually loop all the way around the rings and then some.
- USA! (We figured all of our domestic trips could count in this one mark.)
- Mexico (We’ve been to Mexico City twice. Next on the list, the Yucatan Peninsula.)
- Canada (Victoria and Vancouver for two separate Valentine’s Days.)
- Italy (Our first international trip together. 6mo or so into dating.)
- Ukraine (Where we got engaged.)
- Egypt (Honeymoon.)
- Botswana (Road trip around Southern African with Heather and Brian.)
- South Africa
- Zimbabwe
- Namibia
Doh. In writing this I just realized we forgot one… the Bahamas! We went there on a cruise with Scott’s old company in 2004. I guess we’ll just have more to add in the future.
I like this! Maybe I’ll do it for years married, but maybe I should get married before making these plans… no rush
