My undulated stapler came in today! Yay!
Staples of all kinds came into the scrapbooking world a couple of years ago… That is, as far as I can tell from an outsiders view. I like to pretend that I scrapbook.
I’ve seen mini staples, colored staples and fat staples available. Not wanting to invest any money in a fat stapler or expensive fat staples, I’ve stuck with the regular staples, sometimes using permanent marker to change their color. My Christmas and Valentines Day cards over the last year have all used staples… if I had a signature style, staples would be included.
My mom introduced me to her undulated stapler last year. She has an original one from my Grandpa and uses it in her scrapbooking. I sort of forgot about it, until last week when I was flipping through my Kyiv scrapbook (made under my mother’s close supervision and creative direction). I used her undulated stapler on a few of the pages.
I finally ordered one of my own, after tracking down what they’re called (undulated!) and discovering that they’re available brand spanking new. (Antique staplers are apparently a collectors item. Maybe I’ll inherit my Grandpa’s.)
Undulated. How great is that word?
