1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup rice, uncooked
2 cups water
1/4 cup soy sauce
Chow Mein Noodle (garnish)

Brown ground beef, onions, and celery. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour mixture into 9 x 13 baking dish. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serve with chow mein noodles.

* Note: We couldn’t afford the chow mein noodles on our budget! I would have otherwise added in some more veggies. This is the original recipe though.

** Please also note that this is a completely adulterated form of chow mein, which is supposed to have actual noodles, not the crunchy kind as it calls for… feeding 7 people is rough.
